Vallum Farm Tea Room opened in 2006 and is beautifully situated in a red hearted pine log cabin on Hadrian's Wall just 15 minutes from Newcastle and 5 miles from Corbridge / Matfen.

We serve a selection of teas, coffees and cold drinks, light lunches and afternoon tea. Our tea room menu will leave you spoilt for choice with a fantastic range of our freshly produced quiche, pies, salads, Panini, sandwiches and much more. Our bread comes fresh every day from artisan baker Trevor Davidson of Darras Hall. Just ask - and we will tell you where your lunch has come from.

Our scones are baked fresh every morning and our baker Gill goes to a lot of trouble to get her cakes as light as a feather. We use local Northumbrian and Newcastle suppliers and farmers where ever possible and can guarantee quality fresh food.

• Home-made Meringues, Scones, Cakes and Tray bakes, including our award winning chocolate brownie.

Vallum Farm Tea Room is fully licensed and we also serve fabulous Sunday lunches which have proved to be very popular, all in a quiet peaceful country setting so close to Newcastle.

Come for a visit and relax at our tea room whilst the children enjoy the large play paddock with swings and activity 'fort'; or stretch your legs on our farm walks, before enjoying a coffee and cake, light lunch or afternoon tea on the terrace.

We also produce and sell ready meals, desserts and cakes along with local, organic handmade soaps and wonderful smoked produce from our resident smokery, Bywell Smokery Fish & Game.
