Vallum Farm Ice Cream Parlour is situated at Milecastle 18 on Hadrian's Wall, only 15 minutes drive from Newcastle.
In 2004 Brown Swiss cows were introduced to the Moffitt family's 80 year old Hunday Herd. This breed of cow produces milk of a superior quality ideal for ice cream making. We now boast over 16 flavours of ice cream in our ice cream parlour including white chocolate & malteser, caramel toffee fudge and old favourites vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. You can even take a selection of our delicious ice cream home with you in insulated cartons!
The Ice cream parlour also sells popular items from our tea room menu such as hand produced ready meals, salad dressing, desserts, cakes & tray bakes as well as other local produce.
Bernard of Bywell Smokery Fish & Game (Unit 1 at Vallum), has his own shop which he opens to the public on Fridays and Saturdays. He is a fountain of local knowledge and his hot smoked salmon and chicken is amazing!
