Spencer the Jeweller has been trading from a quaint grade two listed building in the heart of Eccleshall for over two years, although proprietor David Spencer’s career as a jewellery maker goes much further back.
David has over 17 years training and experience in jewellery design and jewellery manufacture, having learnt his trade in the famous Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. A Member of the National Association of Goldsmiths, skilled in handmade plating, setting, soldering, and chain making, David Spencer enjoys a well-won reputation for extraordinarily beautiful jewellery.

David creates Rings, Bracelets, Necklets, Pendants and Ear Rings in his on-site workshop using Gold, Silver, Diamonds and Tanzanite. If you’re looking for that very special item, or would like David to create one to order, then Newcastle-under-Lyme is not the place to shop for bespoke jewellery and made to order jewellery.

David will design and create an exquisite piece of jewellery to your own specifications – engagement rings, wedding rings, you name it and Spencer the Jewellers will make it. Choose from gold or silver and your settings of preference – diamonds, tanzanite and other gemstones. We will share ideas with you and spend time defining the essence of what you’re after – and then creating the exact piece of jewellery you pictured.
We make high quality chain ourselves by hand on site in 9ct or 18ct gold. You also have the choice of one colour of gold or a combination of three colours. For authenticity purposes, Spencer the Jeweller offers photo sequences of jewellery as it is created in the workshop.
