Newbury Home Birth Group offers support for expectant parents who are considering having their baby within the comfort of their own home. The group meets monthly to share experiences and to help you make an informed choice. Supported by local midwives and doulas as well as parents who have experienced home birth first hand, we welcome you to join us in a relaxed environment for a cuppa and an informal chat.
Our meetings are currently held on the third Thursday of each month in the relaxed atmosphere of The Wellbeing Centre in Newbury 8-9.30pm. All we ask for is a small contribution of £2 per family towards the cost of refreshments and utilities. Please do join us if you wish to learn more about home births or would like to share your home birth experiences.
Each meeting is usually attended by at least one doula, midwife or independent midwife and/or parents with home birth experience. We welcome anyone from any area locally or further afield. No need to book a place, just turn up. For further information and to receive email updates, please contact us.
The group is coordinated by Claire Bushell, HypnoBirthing antenatal educator and clinical hypnotherapist specialising in fertility, birth and early parenting issues.
