Just thought you would like a bit of feedback...Clare and I popped in for a quick bit of lunch today on our way back down from Yorkshire. We ordered 4 starters and a couple of drinks and were very pleasantly surprised by the overall price of £23.

The service was fast, engaging and flexible ( given our strange order !). The staff were charming and energetic as well as smartly turned out. It was about 2 when we came through the door and the place was 90% full.

We also observed an Australian, we think, restaurant manageress, who was very focused and leading by example.
Tables on the whole seemed very content with their food and the overall experience. We were by the bar and as people came to pay there were plenty of complements ! We will certainly be going again

I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay. I found the whole experience warm, friendly, courteous, professional and above all – comfortable! Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, and the staff went out of their way to ensure that every customer received a personal service. The food was outstanding – as a vegetarian, I am sometimes limited at meal times; but the goats cheese filo tart was out of this world! The accommodation was both stylish and comfortable and allowed me the convenience to work anywhere within the beautiful and relaxing surroundings.

I would strongly recommend anyone visiting the area visit this hidden gem – if just to experience the culinary delights.

My stay was truly an understated 10/10; thank you for making it so enjoyable.

Went for meal at Carnarvon Arms for my birthday with folks from work. The pub is possessed of a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. It is definitely a restaurant, rather than a "locals pub". I cannot fault the food, nor the service in any way. My friends and I had an enjoyable evening. Recommended!

Nick was simply brilliant and so enthusiastic. Justin was superb - the food was the best ever, what a star he is. In fact, all the staff were so helpful, Josh was so well organised behind the bar, everyone was so switched on and attentive, the waiters and waitresses were delightful - nothing was too much trouble. It's so wonderful when everything comes together to make a memorable evening. Everyone who was there has been thanking me and saying it was one the best nights we have ever held. The disco was great and it was so good of him to set up in the Spencer room. Please can you pass my most grateful thanks to your General Manager, he should be justifiably proud to have such a great bunch of staff. I cannot thank you all enough. Hope to see you again soon - and well done.
