I've always been a big fan of the Pizza Express chain in general, but I'd like to give a special mention to the Newark version. As a setting, its pretty special in itself, overlooking the riverside - and best of all there's a panoramic look out tower. Always interesting, when the conversations drift round the outside - just like the whispering gallery in St Pauls. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful - last time we were out - one of the waitresses could see me struggling to cool down my little boys pasta, so she took the time out to bring over an extra plate to let it cool off. The best testmiment to any business is that its always full there - we were gutted one day when we arrived at 6pm only to find there were no tables - so book in advance!!
