A basic understanding of colour will be gained along with the confidence needed to respond to colour in future projects.
Knitting with Texture
In her books '25 Bags to Knit', '25 More Bags to Knit' and 'Fun and Funky Knitting' Emma uses a variety of textured stitches such as cables, bobbles, simple lace and knit/purl textures to create her designs. In this workshop you will learn how to work these techniques whilst creating the front panel of a pretty knitted cushion. You will have the chance to try all the techniques mentioned or can try just one or two if you prefer.
This workshop has been designed for knitters who able to knit and purl and would like to progress to the next level.

Fun and Funky Knitting - Jewellery - This workshop is based on Emma's book of the same title.

This course will explore textured stitches such as cables, twists, bobbles and tucks and will include how to work from charts. Instructions will be provided to turn the panel produced on the day into a bag or hanging.
This workshop has been designed for knitters who are familiar with basic textured stitches and would like to progress to the next level.
Christmas Knits
This project based workshop has a festive theme and offers you the chance to try a variety of different knitting techniques including fairisle, intarsia, knitting with beads and sequins and textured stitches such as cables and bobbles. We will work from a selection of patterns for decorative knitted Christmas sacks whilst using festive colours and yarns to create some eye catching, Christmas inspired designs!
Get Creative
In her books '25 Bags to Knit', '25 More Bags to Knit' and 'Fun and Funky Knitting' Emma uses a variety of embellishment techniques such as knitted flowers, leaves, frills and embroidery to add a decorative element to the designs. This fun and creative workshop will show you how to use techniques such as these to create your own designs to customise your knitwear and knitted accessories.
