The restaurant's lunch menu offers starters and light meals from £4, main courses from £8.50, delicious home-made burgers made with rump steak mince, fresh and filling sandwiches on a choice of breads, and a selection of tasty side orders.
Evenings at Farndon Boathouse add delectable hot and cold dishes, including fresh steamed mussels, king prawn and smoked salmon, lamb rump and locally reared beef.
Farndon Boathouse also serves real ales, fine wines, continental beers - and ambient and acoustic music every Sunday!
Formerly known as The New Ferry Restaurant, Farndon Boathouse is part-owned by one of the backers of the popular Tom Brown's Brasserie in nearby Gunthorpe.
With roaring open fires to keep you warm and cosy in winter, in summer the high beamed ceilings, panoramic windows and open veranda make this the ideal restaurant venue to enjoy a glass or two of wine and 'dine out' throughout the year.

Since we were introduced to the Farndon Boathouse two years ago, we have taken our visitors there to eat and we can rely upon both the quality of food and excellent service to impress our guests and send them home having had a most enjoyable evening. Well done! Sandra A
Last night my husband and I had a meal at your lovely restaurant and having eaten several times at Tom Browns we found the experience of eating at Farndon wonderful and even better than at Gunthorpe , which takes some doing. The setting is just right, soft lighting and music, I was sat at a radiator which was great as I like to be warm, the tables were not too close together so as not to hear other conversation The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu, we tried the Scallops between us and had the early bird menu. I would normally have a chicken dish but it was not on the menu so I tried the lasagne which was fresh and delicious, my husband had the battered fish which again was fresh and enjoyable. We were not rushed or felt we had to hurry and were given time between courses which we requested We would certainly recommend the restaurant to our friends and we will visit again, we have never been ones for eating out a lot as I work in catering and I am quite particular about eating out as I am not good at paying for something I could make myself - so service and attitude of staff are also very important to me. The food is good value for money and very carefully prepared and presented.......... well done to everyone
We just wanted to say what a fabulous evening we spent with you last night. As one of the last to leave we can say that the service was seamless and the food truly excellent. A comprehensive wine list and fabulous menu will certainly ensure that we will be back. It is a rare thing that a recommendation lives up to expectation but you exceeded it in all areas. Just wanted to say thank you to all the staff for a great time on Saturday night at the Boat House. We all had such a lovely evening and all the team were great. Thank you very much for making my daughter's birthday celebration such an enjoyable occasion at The Farndon Boathouse 27th February. All the staff were very friendly and helpful even when I had to make some changes to the orders they did it without any problems. So thank you once again for looking after us so well and for making the evening a very memorable one for all of us.
