School’s Out! Half Term Activities at the Savoy Theatre, Monmouth
So school’s out and you’re wondering how to keep the kids entertained. Well, help is at hand as the fantastic Savoy Theatre has a wealth of events from Circus Training to Tropical Animals to the latest blockbusters to keep the fussiest of children amused.
The week kicks off with Paddy the Clown’s Laughter Show (24th October) – 90 minutes of madcap comedy mayhem for all the family to enjoy.
Next the Oxfordshire Theatre Company present Rudyard Kipling’s classic story, Jungle Book (26th October). This heart-warming story of Mowgli, first bought up by wolves and then educated by Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther on the laws of the jungle is brought to you through a blend of theatre, songs, puppetry and movement. This is sure to be a unique experience for children and those young at heart!
For those keen to have an interactive experience, then Tropical Animal Encounters (27th October) is a must! This is a fantastic opportunity for children to get close to exotic animals such as snakes, spiders and meerkats and learn about their environments.
To round off the week there is a chance to join the circus for the day. The NoFit State Circus Workshop (28th October) provides the opportunity to learn circus skills necessary to perform under the Big Top! No previous experience is necessary as the NoFit State instructors will be on hand every step of the way to help you.
From Friday 21st October until Sunday 30th October the brilliant new release Dolphin Tale will be showing at 2.30pm and 5pm every day except Wednesday 26th October.
Well, that’s a lot of stuff going on to keep both the kids entertained and allow you to keep your sanity!
