For the first time this year Willen Hospice is combining its Walk for Willen and Summer Garden Party to make one big family day out at the Hospice, in Willen Village, on Sunday 6th June.
The walk is a three mile circuit of the north and south lakes, or a shorter walk of one and a half miles around the north lake only. Both starting and finishing at the Hospice. Walking can start at anytime from10:30am on the day and should aim to be finished by 1:30pm. The registration fee for the Walk for Willen is £5 for adults and £1 for 16 and under – dogs and buggies welcome! For a registration form please call the events team on MK 306699.
The Summer Garden Party will take place in the Hospice grounds to coincide with those starting and finishing their walks. There will be live music, refreshments, stalls and games for all the family. This year to help with their donated clothes shortage they are asking everyone who comes along to bring one good quality item they no longer wear and leave it at the drop-off point.
As part of both events there will also be a special memory wall erected on the fence by the lake, in the Hospice grounds, for people to leave a message in memory of a loved one. Cards will be available on the day or can be requested beforehand by calling MK 306699.
