Tickford Bridge, Newport Pagnell, Bi-Centenary 1810-2010

The town of Newport Pagnell near Milton Keynes will be transformed back in time by 200 years as they celebrate the Bi-centenary of Tickford Bridge, which is the oldest iron bridge, not only in the UK but in the world that is still in constant use.  On 18th September there will be a parade of vehicles from stage coach to the present day, followed by other attractions on the meadow in the afternoon.

An exhibition showing the complete history of the Newport Pagnell bridges will be open from 7th September -26th September 2010 at Lower Room, Newport Pagnell Library.
