The Pirates of Penzance starring Paul Nicholas at Milton Keynes Theatre to battle it out for honours on the piste in the theatre foyer on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings this week, providing some pre-show entertainment and a taste of a very exciting sport.

Among the combatants is eleven year old wheel-chair fencer, Gabby, who is one of only two female under eighteen wheel-chair fencers in the UK. Gabby trains with the junior squad at Touché Fencing Club and is aiming for the 2012 Paralympics.

Fencing is a fun and dynamic sport; it is great for fitness and also offers opportunities to compete in local, regional and national levels. Men and women, children and juniors fence at the local clubs, with abilities ranging from beginners to International standard fencers. All three fencing weapons, Foil, Épée and Sabre are used in training and competition. The clubs share a friendly rivalry, they all include members who are passionate about the sport and offer a warm welcome to anyone interested in having a go!

Don’t sit on the fence, come along and get in the mood for some swashbuckling fun.  Tickets for the Pirates of Penzance at Milton Keynes Theatre can be booked at Box Office 0844 871 7652 (bkg fee) or visit www.ambassadortickets.com/miltonkeynes (bkg fee)
