In only eight weeks since its launch, the 'Santa Atthecentremk' facebook account has gathered just under 2000 friends and Santa has received a host of Christmas wishes via facebook and the post box in Middleton Hall.

Launched on the 22 October the facebook page was set up with the aim for Santa to communicate directly with the public in the lead up to Christmas, show recent developments in the Christmas Show including images and videos. The page has displayed images from the Christmas Show, the life size Snow Globe, Santa's video Blog and messages from across the world.

"Receiving Christmas wishes from children my favourite part of my job," commented Santa from his Grotto in Middleton Hall. "My elves are constantly on facebook and I thought it was great way to communicate with the children in Milton Keynes and the surrounding region. As ever the post box in Middleton Hall has been incredibly busy.

All the same rules apply though. I've made my list; I've checked it twice and I've found out who's been naughty or nice. In the meantime here are some of my favourite requests I've received."

Bradley Stapleton in Northampton asked Santa for a 'big, massive crane', Liam O'Brien asked for computer games but took the time ask how Santa was, what the weather was like in 'reindeer land', Harriet Neaves from Woburn Sands went for the bribery option promising two mince pies in exchange for a Hannah Montana doll and finally Lauren Price wanted a Hannah Montana doll but said 'I love you so much and thank you for getting everyone presents, you are so kind and I love Rudolph as well'

Santa continued: "These are only a small sample but I can assure all the young boys and girls I cherish every single letter and requests and I look forward to seeing you all ASLEEP on Christmas Eve."

Santa's Grotto is open until Christmas Eve with the following times 9am-7pm Mon-Sat, 10am-6pm on Sundays, Christmas Eve: Santa's Grotto closes completely at 1pm but the train remains open until 6pm whilst everything is closed on Christmas Day. The Santa's Express Ride and the Christmas show remain open until the 3 of January.
