first of all thanks for letting the public use your laptop to vote thats a serice in its self.
I wuld just like to say we have been eating at this restaurant for a while now and the food is alaways as good as the last visit. its a must at lunch time even if its just for a bowl of geourgus homemade soup.

please can i say what a very warm welcoming place to eat. I have been for sunday lunch a few times and have now tried the evening menu, which i have to say was fantastic, very good value for money, portions and price excellent,

The Eating house is a little gem the fantastic homecooked foods ,and warm and friendly service Mandy & Steve team provide .A great place to visit even if you are alone they are all happy to have a little chat with you .The quality of food is second to none .I understand they are doing theme evenings soon I will look foward to them and tell my friends all about it

I booked a table at the Eating House not having heard anything about it and I have to say,I was absolutely bowled over at how amazing the experience was. From the minute we walked in we were very warmly welcomed by the staff,who were extremely conistant throughout the whole evening. Then came the food!! Probably the best food I have eaten in a very long time. I loved the fact that everything was locally sourced and freshly prepared. The sauces were to die for,a sign of a very talented and creative chef. I can highly recommend The Eating House and I think if you dont check the place out,you seriously are missing out on the most fantastic restaurant Melton has to offer.

Mandy and Steve never fail to serve first class food.
Every meal we have had there been delicious. The Sunday lunches are the best with the tastiest gravy anywhere.
I might add if you get to the restaurant early enough you might just manage to get a slice of the delicious chocolate fudge cake that is to die for. A must for chocolate lovers! But be quick it goes fast!
To add to the good food is the pleasant staff and fine, almost personal, service.
All in all, the best in Melton.

my self and a few friens went for a evening meal for the first time and i have to say what a great evening from walking in the door the staf were very friendly and welcoming, the food from starters to desserts was all very very good , my seabass was realy good the steaks were 120z and very tasty done on a chargrill my partner said the pepper sauce was the best she has ever tasted , and the homemade fresh fish and chips was brill, the desserts aslo were great the way they show them is a brilliant idea, and i have to say the price was very good for what we all had . i will almost definatly be back and tell others

Attended for Daughters 35 birthday. Everyone enjoyed the welcome, surroundings and wonderful attention given to us by the owners and staf. The table had been decorated by Mandy and set the evening up wonderfully. Surely things could not be any better!! Then the food arrived and we were in seventh heaven. It was superb!
I dreaded the bill for such an enjoyable evening, but even with the three rounds of drinks the overall price was outstanding.
We will all be returning in the near future!
Make the choice and get there before us!!

We recently visited the Eating House with a group of friends for a meal from their Christmas menu. The meal was superb, piping hot and well presented, including the vegetarian choice and was enjoyed by all.
brilliant food from the sandwiches to the roast all cooked really nice and very tasty and very polite staff

popped in for lunch today and tried the fish and chips a few people i know have been raving about.i must say i was not dissapointed at all.beautifully cooked home made fish and chips that melts in your mouth. you will have to go a long way to find a better fish and chip meal like this.friendly fast service,excellent value and quality food.would recommend the eating house to all

We had friends over and decided to pick somewhere that we could walk to, luckily it was a lovely day, on entering the Eating House, a warm welcome greeted us. The food and service was exceptional and we have such a laugh with Mandy because she thought we were good and relaxed after only one ʼtonicʼ when in fact we had asked for gin and tonics so it just goes show that you do not need to have alcohol to enjoy the Eating House. Everywhere was clean and the hand wash and hand cream in the toilet were a nice surprise.

The Business Lunch - absolutely brilliant value for money. I booked our time and pre-ordered our choices. Delicious full roast dinner including roasted and boiled potatoes and fresh vegetables - which I followed up with apple crumble and ice-cream - all for £5.75! Very quick service and friendly, professional staff. I shall definitely go back for an evening meal and will continue to use the restaurant at lunchtime.

I have been about 6 times now and every time the food is superb quality the waitresses are very friendly, we are always made really welcome. The variety of food is amazing, and freshly prepared. They say the proof is in the pudding (they are a must aswell!!), I would, and have recommend The Eating House to everyone.
if you love tasty, well cooked food then the eating house in sherrard street is the place to go if you are eating out in melton. with a fantastic menu and friendly efficient service, there is no way you can be disappointed!!

we first went to the eating house when it first opened and have been back several times.the menu changes quite often so there is always a good variety of food to choose from. they have also opened at lunchtimes now with a different menu that is also very inviting.the owners and staff are very friendly and very polite. i have and would recommend the eating house as one of the best restaurants my family and i have eaten at.
