The Crown Inn is a delightful family-run pub, situated in the heart of the village of Asfordby, a mile outside Melton Mowbray. It is a former 18th century coaching inn, which has been beautifully restored. Visitors can eat in the beautiful beamed restaurant, in the bars or alfresco in the beer garden, complete with comfortable seating and with its own wishing well!

Their steak dishes are served on super heated volcanic lava rock platters. The larva rocks are heated to 380 degrees. This extreme heat seals in the juices and flavours, which is why they believe it's simply the best way to cook steak.
A meal like no other - you enjoy complete control of how your steak is cooked (no matter how you like it) and it's so.....easy!

The pub has a fantastic atmosphere, you will always leave smiling. The food is sensational with a good variety of choice, combined with friendly bar staff. It's well worth a night out!

After I first tried my 8oz sirloin steak on the stone, I couldn't believe how nice it was. 'Cooking the steak myself?' I thought, but the taste was amazing. They had an awesome selection on the menu which was brilliant.
We went out for a meal on a Wednesday night and it was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend a night out.

Just discovered The Crown now does lunches. Very nice food, very friendly staff. The garden is a lovely place for a relaxing lunch.
