I have shopped at Scarborough Fare for many years and have always been greatly impressed by the range and quality of the products on sale.
You can be assured that only the finest fresh fish and game can be purchased from this fine establishment.
Stuart has a trained eye and will not carry anything that is lower than superb. people need to stop buying 5 day old fish from the super market chains and realise what quality really is . Take a trip to see Stuart and Jayne you wont be dissapointed.

I visit Scarborough Fare regularly and wouldnʼt dream of getting my fish from anywhere else. A few weeks ago I had friends round for dinner and bought some Plaice to cook with a prawn sauce. Everybody was really impressed with the Plaice, which tasted fantastic (because of its quality and freshness - not because of my cooking!)....unfortunately I do need to improve my prawn sauce recipe - it was too heavy for the fish. Iʼve bought all sorts of fish from their range - always delicious and always really fresh. Jayne and Stuart always make you really welcome and they’re always happy to help with tips on cooking and recipes.

it makes no difference whether you go to see jayne in the main shop in sherrsrd street or take a trip to see stuart at scarborough fareʼs sister shop at the cattle market, you are always greeted with a friendly smile. always willing to help and offer advice on how to cook some of there more exotic products. the fish is always fresh and of the highest quality, this place is what family run businesses should be like.
