Matlock Bath illuminations feature the delightful parade of decorated and illuminated boats that are produced and rowed by members of the Matlock Bath Venetian Boat Builders Association. The Arkwright Cup, donated in 1903 by Sir Richard Arkwright, is awarded to the winning design and the Boat Parade continues to feature one 'candle-lit' boat - as illuminated in Victorian times.

Cliff top Firework display
The cliff top firework displays will be staged at 9.00pm on the following Saturday evenings;
- October 3rd
- October 17th
- October 31st
Admission charges apply. 2009 prices are £4 adults and over 16s, £3.50 for over 60s, accompanied children under 16 free.
NB On 'Firework' Saturdays - 2 'Park & Ride' services operate from 6.00pm - Matlock (DCC Offices Car Park) to Matlock Bath Station
