The Peak Conference Centre, between Belper and Matlock, is a well-equipped conference and meeting facility for any business or social gathering.

Situated in the tranquillity of the Derbyshire countryside, between Matlock and Belper, the Peak Conference Centre is where corporate teams escape the hustle and bustle to hold meetings, training days and corporate hospitality events. The only distractions at this conference facility are those you arrange to support the meeting or event being held there.

This conference facility has fantastic panoramic views which can be appreciated during breaks from your meeting or conference, whilst sitting out in the gardens. The peace and tranquillity will be appreciated by all attendees and will enhance their ability to absorb the programme of events.  Alternatively, if the meeting is top secret or might entail raised voices you can be sure that you are not going to be overheard.

Peak Conference Centre is set within an 18th century barn that has been skillfully renovated. Modern flooring and underfloor heating give a soothing warmth to the ambiance of the barn. The large barn doors may be opened for a more outdoor feel to the meeting but have an internal glass screen to keep the elements out if required. Furnishings have been tastefully incorporated and conference and function room facilities installed - flip-charts, presentation screen, ample power points, WiFi and Broadband.

  • laid out in 'boardroom style' the function room will cater for up to 20 meeting attendees
  • prepared in 'theatre format' this conference facility has the capacity for 40 conference delegates.

Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available all day, and there is the added novelty of enjoying water from the well. Refreshments are all sourced locally near Matlock - choose from a sandwich menu or a delicious buffet lunch.

There is ample free car parking available.  Please ask for directions from Matlock because  this conference facility is in the middle of the Peak Park.

The Peak Conference centre is often used as the focal point for an acitivity-based event. There is plenty to do in the surrounding countryside and Christine is happy to provide information.

We enjoyed a super 4 days at the 'Secret' the accommodation is luxurious, well equipped and clean with the added bonus of not only an outdoor hot-tub, but indoor whirlpool bath - blissful! Christine ensures your every need is catered for and is a caring but discreet host. We intend to visit again and have no hesitations in recommending The 'Secret' at Peak Serenity.

We had a thoroughly relaxing break at "The Secret" apartment at Cliff Farm. The setting is somewhat unconventional, perhaps that is "the secret", on a former farm that is now used as an occasional conference centre. Nontheless the apartment is a delight. The large bedroom with comfortable bed has serene views over the countryside and the only noise you will hear is that of birdsong and sheep! The open plan living room is both cosy and attractive and the kitchen is so well equipped it makes cooking easy and convenient. Attention to detail throughout the apartment is exceptionally good with everything carefully thought out, and a welcome bottle of champagne is a delightful bonus, along with strawberries and sunflowers and a well stocked fridge! We found it easy to travel into the "honeypots" of the Peak district such as Chatsworth but we also enjoyed well dressing displays and brass band concerts in nearby villages. A wonderful spot to retreat to but with many attractions nearby should you so choose!

We used the conference facility for a full day conference for 8 or 9 people. The facilities were first class and when we took breaks for refreshments and the luch break, the catering was excellent as well. A fantastic place away from it all, ideal for the meetings where you do not want to be disturbed. Highly Recommended

"The secret" should remain like its name sake, not to stop people from visiting but to take people away from the hustle & bustle of day to day life. I took my husband to the secret as a birthday weekend away from life and our children, i usally like to be pampered and stay a a luxuray hotel but the weekend at the secret was far better than I can have imagined and we are hoping to return again later this year.
