Stress Awareness

Frances Taylor of Brightspark sent me an update of what she is doing to mark National Stress Awareness Day.  She will again be offering free events in Derbyshire.

NSAD, now in its 11th year, is organised by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA). It aims to help people suffering from stress by highlighting the many coping strategies and sources of help available, and offering free advice to people who want to reduce the harmful effects of stress in their lives.

Frances is offering free events including two relaxation classes in association with Buxton’s Grapevine Project and confidential stress consultations in Bakewell, Buxton and Glossop.

She is also launching a series of free wellbeing podcasts.  And I have just listened and loved the first.  Fantastic.  I think I will have to figure out how to download it and listen to it next time I'm not sleeping.  I urge you to have a listen for yourself - but not while driving.

As a new blogger on this site, very belated thanks to Catherine for her positive comments on my podcasts. Recent topics have included "Getting a good night's sleep" and an introduction to mindfulness. In my podcasts I focus on practical strategies to help you become healthier and happier- so do have a listen. The next one,out very soon, will look at how to get the most out of your summer holiday. http://frances.libsyn.com/rss report abuse...
