This week the Great British Menu features 3 chefs from the South East Region and includes Marlow's Michelin starred Chef Tom Kerridge.  Tom and Beth Kerridge took over the Hand and Flowers in West Street, Marlow in 2005 and quickly established a reputation for themselves, earning a much coveted Michelin star within a year.
As well as appearing in the Great British Menu Tom Kerridge has become involved with this year's Marlow Food Festival.  After its successful first year in 2009 the food festival will be held over two days this year at The Crowne Plaza Hotel on 11th and 12th September.  Tom Kerridge has persuaded several of his fellow competitors in The Great British Menu to take part.  Nathan Outlaw, Sat Bains, Glynn Purnell and Simon Rogan have all confirmed their attendance . More local restaurants will also be represented with Adam Symonds the Chef from Danesfield House Hotel taking part as will Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi of Caldesi in Campagna in Bray. Alan Murchinson who along with Paris House owns L'Otolan in Shinfield will also be attending.
Thebestofmarlow is proud to announce we are one of the sponsors for the Marlow Food Festival so keep a look out for more news on our blog.

I thought Tom's main course of Duck and chips roasted in Duck fat looked the nicest last night. The way it was presented was also the most impressive and imaginative of the three. It's pudding tnight and the result could be close. report abuse...

Wow, so Tom kerridge has made the final eight. Amazing to see how he changed the starter using almost the same ingredients. I must say the starter last night looked really good. report abuse...

Congratulations to Tom Kerridge who made the main course for the Great British Menu Banquet. I wonder if he will be serving his winning dish at the Hand and Flowers? report abuse...
