HDL Audio Visual Services Ltd recently worked with the Hope Foundation. In this blog John Legh the owner tells us about what they did and about the Hope Foundation.
We have been pleased to be asked by the Hope Foundation to help them out with equipment for a couple of their fund-raising events recently – PA and projection equipment for an Indian Summer Garden Party with a talk by Christopher Biggins at Old Luxters Barn in August and PA equipment again on 10th February for a reception at a viewing of works by Lynn Chadwick at the Osborne Samuel Gallery in Mayfair.
Based in West Wycombe, and with a lot of supporters living in and around Henley, the Hope Foundation helps street children in Calcutta to get their lives on track and also helps to prevent children from becoming street children in the first place. The Foundation runs over 60 projects that tackle the root causes of the children's problems, by providing access to education and healthcare, nutrition, child protection and counselling, drug rehabilitation and vocational training. More information is available from the Foundation's web-site www.thehopefoundation.org.
The Luxters Barn event raised over £10,000 for the charity's work.
