Energetic local ladies, looking for a fun way to keep fit, are being encouraged to take up netball with an invitation to enter a work’s team in a friendly tournament.
The ‘Get Back Into Netball’ programme provides a gentle, eight-week introduction to the sport and is aimed at women over the age of 16.
It starts with coach-led sessions covering basic skill development and court play.
The weekly sessions take place at Harborough Leisure Centre on Saturdays between noon and 1.30pm.
Following the eight weeks training, players will be invited to enter teams from their place of work into an inter-company tournament.
The programme is being organised by Harborough Council’s Active Together team., which aims to get people across the district more active, more often.
Sessions cost £2 a time, and there is no need to book.
