I was very nervous when first starting to drive but learning with Steve helped to calm my nervous and made me feel at ease. He is very patient and helps to make you feel very relaxed by talking and getting to know you. He taught me everything I needed to know not only for the driving tests, but also for ‘real-life’ driving too. I really enjoyed my lessons and would strongly recommend him. Thanks Steve!

Steve was friendly and professional from the first lesson to the last he explained driving and manouvers in a very helpful way and made sure that I understood it. He also gave great advice , I passed both my theory and practical while learning with Steve. If you want to learn to drive I would highly recommend him :)
I have just passed my driving test with steve after starting to drive in september. He made me feel confident and aware on the road and i looked forward to my lesson each week. He always managed to fit a leeson around me working and going to college each week. For my theory i passed first time after borrowing one of steves books and his advice at what i should read up on and sites i should look at. Soon after i booked my practical and failed first time after making a stupid mistake that i had done perfectly the lesson before. I then rebooked it for two weeks and i had a lesson in between going over my weak points- reversing again and agian so i was happy with it. I then re did my test and passed with no faults at all because steve always made sure i didnt get into bad habbits that i could pick up faults for. I am now going to do pass pluss with steve to improve my driving skill even more and i now feel at ease and confident when driving on my own.
With much help from Steve, I managed to pass my test first time. He was extremely helpful and really put me at ease. He's great at explaining things and helping you to understand everything.As well as teaching me how to pass my test, he also gave me really handy tips for driving in real life, after the test.I never felt like my time was wasted, and he put me at ease before I went into my test. I really recommend him to anyone.Thank you so much Steve!
Switched to learning with Steve after failing two tests with another instructor. Passed third time with Steve after 9 lessons, and now feel a lot more confident about driving.Would say Steve is very competent and patient as an instructor, great at explaning things, friendly and easy to get on with. He really helped me to sharpen up my driving in a relatively short space of time and made it an enjoyable experience. Always managed to fit a lot into the lessons and covered many different routes. I got lots of useful tips with manoeuvres such as parallel parking and he even managed to find me a map of a tricky double roundabout I was struggling with in Kettering.Quite a forgiving car to learn in, (Peugeot 308 I think), easy to drive, light controls, and good all round visibility.Cheers Steve
Steve is a great instructor, both my siblings and I learnt with him from our 17th birthday onwards. He always makes you feel at ease and knows exactly what is suitable for you. Each lesson is varied and he is very amiable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone learning to drive.
After having lessons as a teenager without taking a test I decided to try again at learning to drive at the age of 31. I was recommended Steve by another instructor as Steve could give me lessons at the weekend.I had about 12 lessons and passed first time under Steve's expert tutoring. Steve really has a fantastic way of teaching - I felt completely at ease from the first lesson and I really can't recommend Steve highly enough for his professionalism, organisation, motivation, knowledge and flexibility with lesson timings.If you want to learn to drive you should look no further than Steve - I definitely give 5 stars out of 5!!!
Steve was a cracking instructor right from my first lesson. Friendly and informative, he was also patient when I fouled up, which was a huge plus in terms of making sure my confidence didn't take a knock. Passed on my first go just last week. Couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Steve was a fantastic driving instructor! He makes everything really easy to understand and I felt safe when I was driving with him. I had Steve the whole time whilst learning to drive. He was exceptional. I passed first time, as he helped me prepare and did not put too much on pressure on me. He taught everything plus extra everyday driving tips on the road. I would strongly recommend him to any new driver .

A work colleague recommended Steve to me after he taught her daughter to drive. I had been putting off learning to drive, after several failed attempts (and tests) during the early 1990's and then again after I had finished university. When I initially called Steve it was with the feeling that this would be my last crack before I finally and resolutely gave up and I admitted I would never be able to drive! Although initially daunted and nervous due to my previous experience, I found that this time it was completely different to before due to Steve's total dedication and unfailing support. I am delighted to say that I have now finally passed my driving test after holding a provisional driving licence for 19 years! If Steve can teach me, I'm sure he can teach anyone, and I doubt you'll find a more professional, patient or friendly instructor anywhere!
I recently passed my test with steve and I thought his level of professionalism was exeptional. He was really helpful throughout every lesson and had a really impressive local knowlage of the test area which came in very useful in my test. He is really friendly, which really helps when your nervous and prepares you for real life driving, he covered all aspects of driving in sufficent detail and let me pass my test first time. My parents were also really impressed as they used different driving instructors for my brother and my sister and said that Steve was the best of them all.

Passed my test on my first attempt and have nothing but praise for Steve. I was a little nervous and tentative about starting to learn, but Steve made me feel comfortable and confident from the start and you really feel as though you are progressing with each and every lesson.The learning methods and techniques Steve uses, (particularly when it comes to the tricky maneuvers) simplify the actions in a way that improves accuracy and confidence in your own driving ability, allowing you to quickly drive independently.I would highly recommend Steve for any learner, weather you’re a complete novice or simply want to brush up on your driving skills. He’s happy to adapt lessons to your own driving ability, and always provides a relaxed, friendly environment for you to learn.
I was recommended to learn with Steve by several different people, all were enthusiastic with praise. The lessons were always interesting and it never felt as though your time was being wasted, as many of my peers felt of their driving instructors. I also felt as though i was being taught to drive as opposed to being taught just how to past the test. having said this, when i took my test i passed first time. I cannot recommend Steve enough and i genuinely look forward to taking my pass plus.
As someone in my middle-age, I had put off learning to drive for years. When eventually learning at the age of 37, and feeling very nervous and lacking confidence, I found Steve to be very friendly, extremely calm and reassuring. He is an excellent teacher and I picked up all the manouvers and driving skills easily and quickly. I started with Steve when I was struggling with a previous instructor. Steve is a fantastic driving instructor he managed to transform me from a quivering wreck over roundabouts to someone who now doesn't even bat an eyelid at the pork pie roundabout! He was never late for any lessons nor did he ever cancel on me.Steve was very flexible with me around our lessons as I work varied shifts and would always do his best to accomodate me.I would and do reccomend Steve to anyone I know is learning how to drive.Not only was he a great teacher he's a genuinely nice guy and I'll miss our weekly chats!Thanks for all of your encouragement and support.

I passed my test first time, two weeks ago with Steve. The lessons were always interesting and varied so the 2 hours a week that I had were always looked forward to. I just passed my test first time with Steve, and am now taking Pass Plus. I started out very underconfident, but he took that into consideration and now I love driving. For reliability, friendliness, and expertise I would say they donʼt come better than Steve! He turned up for all my lessons at the arranged time ON THE DOT, and made the whole experience a pleasure not a trial, (mainly due to his constant chitter-chatter which put me at ease straight away!!). Always full of helpful tips, he helped me gain my confidence enough to pass my test first time, as did a couple of his other clients that same week! Enjoying gaining in confidence, I continued with lessons for the Pass Plus scheme straight away, and would highly recommend that to any clients. Many thanks Steve!
I learnt to drive with Steve when he was orginally with the AA. The peugeot 207 is a very nice medium sized car to drive in, and makes manoeuvres easier. Steve is very patient, and will take you where you want to go. We spent a lot of time going round the pork pie roundabout as I didnʼt feel confident about it in the beginning, so he helped me practise. Hours are very flexible, and rates are reasonable too. Steve is the only driving instructor Iʼve driven with, and Iʼm glad I made a good choice!
