During 2007 The Best of Manchester South carried out extensive surveys with members of the public in South Manchester to find out who they feel are the best restaurants in the area. We wanted to find the real gems of South Manchester dining.
The Limetree proved very popular being the 5th most nominated restaurant in South Manchester. It proved the most popular English restaurant in the area.
Chef-Patron Patrick Hannity and his team of dedicated chefs prepare the food, which can be best described as Modern British. The menu changes weekly, ensuring you'll always be able to try something new at The Limetree Restaurant. Many of the dishes reflect the passing seasons, and are prepared with fresh local ingredients wherever possible.

We decided to try the Limetree out after it was voted Most Loved Business in Town by the Bestof 14 days of love - We enjoyed the food and the friendly staff went out of there way to make our experience a rememrable one TY...
We have been visiting The Lime Tree since it first opened and have always had good food in a relaxed and comfortable atmoshere. It is good quality food at a none-Manchester price. Friends, family or colleagues that have been with us have always also enjoyed it. One friend had their wedding reception there and another her 40th Birthday party, and both were very successful occassions. Pb- local resident.
The Limetree restaurant was really popular amongst the Didsbury locals, so weʼre delighted to feature them on The Best of Manchester South. The restaurant has a lovely feel and the food and wines are truly great. The Best of Team.
