What more beautiful surroundings could there be for a traditional carol concert than Manchester Cathedral?

And what better cause at this time of year than the NSPCC's Childline service? Childline provides a lifeline for the most vulnerabe and isolated children - those for whom sadly Christmas offers no joy or respite and often simply highlights their misery.

Everyone can help towards raising the £17 million a year it costs to provide this service. Join friends and family for a magical candlelit concert at Manchester Cathedral on December 9th 2011, featuring traditional music and singing by local performers, as well as seasonal performances from youth choirs and musicians including:

  • Award-winning Lees Brass Band
  • Manchester High School for Girls' Prep Choir
  • Classical singer, Janette Monroe
  • Manchester High School for Girls' Senior Choir
  • Preston local Joey Cobb

This special concert is being sponsored by Nikal, who are based in the heart of Manchester and specialise in major town and city centre redevelopment and regeneration projects.

Tickets are £8 for adults, concessions £5 and accompanied children under 16 are free. Book yours today by calling 0161 628 1209 or by emailing northwestappeals@nspcc.org.uk.
