RAF Brize Norton

Ready to Move

In 1992, as a result of the Falklands Conflict, RAF 4624 Movements Squadron was formed.

The largest squadron in RAF Reserves, we work alongside RAF regular personnel handling passengers and freight at airfields all around the world.

To date, we have been continuously deployed supporting operations in the Balkans, Sierra Leone and the build-up to Afghanistan. In 2003, the whole squadron was mobilised to Basra, Baghdad, Kuwait and Qatar as part of Operation Telic in Iraq, where they maintained a presence before finally withdrawing. We still have a permanent commitment of eight Reservists in Afghanistan, split between Kandahar and Camp Bastion.

If you are aged between 18 and 50 and you would like to challenge yourself, learn new skills and travel the world, call us today!
