West Malvern Arts Festival
,
Time to the 2012 Festival: It is finally here! Plans are already well advanced for the staging of the West Malvern Arts Festival sponsored by local charity The Malvern Hills Community Foundation and which is now in its third year. As before, it will be held in the village between the Elim College and the Brewers Arms pub. Like the two previous events there will be the usual mixture of venues, thanks to the kind offers of local residents and other organisations, ranging from gazebos, private garages, garden walls etc, to larger venues such as the Elim College, St James’ Church, West Malvern Primary School, and The Brewers Arms pub garden. Admission to the event is free throughout for both visitors and artists, and as last year we are likely to be hosting perhaps eighty plus artists, some of whom will be new to the Festival, who will be showing and/or selling a wide variety of work ranging from sculpture to jewellery, glassware to calligraphy, besides painters, photography, mixed media, etc. Some artists will again be taking commissions, and all work will be under cover in the event of wet weather. Worcester Canoe Club
Grandstand Road,Worcester,Worcestershire, WR1 3EJ
We hope that you not only find it useful but that you will actively contribute and let everyone know when you are paddling or organising a trip that others might join. Canoe and kayak sport is truly wonderful, as relaxing as you wish or as challenging as any extreme sport can be. Whatever your interests, they can probably be encompassed, be it just chilling out on the river on a balmy summers evening or striving to represent your country - perhaps at the London Olympics. Yes we do have athletes working on that plan as well as paddlers who prefer surf or sea canoeing and those that just tour. See more
