Lettie was involved in a horse riding accident in Thurnham near Maidstone last year, the Kent Air Ambulance got to the scene in just 9 minutes and fearing she may have fractured her pelvis then airlifted her to the Maidstone Hospital. She is now determined to pursue a career as a paramedic or an Accident and Emergency Doctor. She says "I want to give something back because they helped me. I just want to thank them for what they did." "The service is really important because it can get to serious emergencies really quickly".
The Kent Air Ambulance attended the scene of a serious hit and run accident in Burham near Maidstone that Tony was involved in. Tony said "they are fantastic. I hope you bever need them, but with continued support they will be there if you do. They provide an excellent service. With the amount of blood lost, i have been told they saved my life and for that I shall always be grateful".
Sophie was invlolved in a horse riding accident in Harrietsham near Maidstone a few years ago. The Kent Air Ambulance arrived quickly at the scene and flew her to the Maidstone Hospital. She said "I knew the Air Ambulance would be fast but not that fast. It can be the difference between life and death". "It does such a good job, especially for people like me who are often somewhere a land ambulance can't get to". Sophie was fine and allowed back home later that day.
I love everything about the Kent Air Ambulance, these dedicated professionals are available every day of the year to rescue and save the lives of hundreds of people, funded entirely by the people of Kent. 1.7 million ££'s a year. Wow! That's why I have signed up to ride the Air Ambulance Double Hundred Bike Challenge on Sunday 3rd July.
