Alexander Devine Children's Hospice, a local Maidenhead charity.
The Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Charity was set up by John and Fiona Devine in memory of their son Alexander. In 2001, 4 year old Alexander was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour. During the next 4 years he endured operations, chemotherapy and other treatments with exceptional courage and bravery.
The Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Charity aims to build a children's hospice "Alexander House" in Berkshire. The hospice will provide respite care along with specialized palliative care and an outreach team. It wil also provide much needed support for the families of patients.

Events include a Christmas fair held in Maidenhead Town Hall and a charity cabaret hosted by the Charity's patron Sir Michael Parkinson. They also have a presence at shows and events in the Maidenhead area. The charity also sell a range of Christmas cards which are available from their website.
