Earlier this year as we drove back from Cornwall and admired the startling clear blue sky, we sighed a relief that we had chosen Cornwall for a short break. The day before our return was the day that air travel stopped due to that Volcano (I'm not even going to attempt to spell it) We love Cornwall but we love to travel abroad too. Once we got home tales of how people had returned to Maidenhead and the rest of the Uk began to emerge, including owner and CEO of thebestof Nigel Botterill's epic trek across Spain and France from Egypt. It was after this and the disruption of the BA strike that we suddenly saw the value of using a Travel Agent.
When we booked a holiday to Turkey earlier this year we used Tony Sheldon Travel in Maidenhead. We needed a holiday for us and two older teenage boys and they gave us great advice which we took. So we're looking forward to our holiday next month. Until yesterday. Staff from Tony Sheldon contacted us to say the airline we were booked on had ceased trading but when they contacted us they already had alternative flights for us.
Had we booked the flights and accomodation ourselves separately we would have spent a lot of time trying to make sure our holiday went ahead. So thanks to using a Travel agent we are still going on holiday and we haven't been stressed and left needing one more than ever.
Thanks Mark and Sharon we appreciate it.
