Learn extraordinary skills with award-winning children’s circus company Albert and Friends. Have a go at stiltwalking, juggling, unicycling, ballwalking and a whole lot more!

Modern Dance

A creative and fun adventure in dance. Channel your energy whilst learning new skills and inspiring your imaginations! Suitable for complete beginners as well as children with some experience.

Karan’s Bollywood Dance

Learn an exciting variety of Indian dance movements used in famous Bollywood films of today! Traditional moves and modern choreography combine with the latest music from Bollywood. Take home a fantastic Bollywood dance routine to show your friends and family. Jai Ho!

Puppetry

Explore different puppetry styles including glove puppets, stick puppets, shadow puppets and others. Learn techniques and tricks and even make your own puppet to take home and entertain your family!

Stage Makeup

A hands-on class in stage makeup. Learn how to age a face, animal effects and how to create a character with theatrical makeup. Whether you want to be a dog, a lion, a witch or a clown, come and have a go with stage makeup under professional tuition.

For 11+ years, the workshop will also include how to create wounds, scars and gruesome injuries.

Make a Recycled Mini-Beast Garden
10am 11+ years
11.15am & 12.45pm. For families and individuals
£2 per person
Recycle paper to create your own wonderful garden, including birds, mini-beasts, plants and flowers. Hand make the paper yourself with dyes and sparkly bits. Dress for mess!

Kev F's Comic Art Masterclass
10am & 11.45am 8-10 years

1 ½ hours

Kev F is a comic book writer and artist from The Beano, Marvel comics and many more! He will show you how to tell a story in pictures, in any style. You will take home a copy of the comic book created in the session, including your own strip and a caricature of yourself from Kev F.


Easter Saturday 3 April

Make Musical Instruments Out of Scrap
10am & 4pm 11+ years
11.15am, 1.15pm & 2.45pm. For families and individuals
£2 per person
Let rip, thrash, bang and resonate rhythms and sounds out of dustbins, car wheels, drain pipes and scrap metal. Try out the bat phones and other unique instruments and make some noise in the funky bin section!

Street Dance
10am 5-7 years

Come and join the fun with something fresh and funky! Street Dance is one of the fastest growing forms of dance. Learn wicked routines to the coolest beats.

Chocolate Egg Decorating
10am, 12.30pm & 1.45pm. For families and individuals

Between ½ hour – 1 hour
£4 per person
Decorate a delicious hand made chocolate egg using a variety of chocolates, sweets and sprinkles under the guidance of a local chocolatier. Wrap your finished egg so that it is ready to take home and be enjoyed, if you can wait that long!

Maxwell Golden presents Fun with Hip Hop
10am 11+ years
11.15am 5-7 year
12.45pm & 2pm 8-10 years

Create and perform Hip Hop with Maxwell. He will show you how to make up stories and perform them with a bass track! Make up comedy plays, try call and response and most importantly have fun. You’ll be laughing all the way home.

Clowning
1.45pm 8-10 years

Prat-falls, slips, trips and double-takes. This physical workshop teaches the techniques of silent comedy as well as the basics of clowning – funny walks, the power of facial expressions and how to find your inner-clown.

Stage Combat
3pm 11+ years
2 hours

An introduction to stage combat moves. Learn how to wrestle, pull hair, punch, kick, slap, knee in the groin, bounce heads off walls – all without actually hurting anyone!

Kathak
3pm 5-10 years
4.15pm 11+ years
£2
Learn the basics of Kathak dancing, including one dance song and hand movements. Kathak is a north Indian classical dance style known for its fast circles, miming and intricate dance pieces.


All activities last for one hour unless otherwise stated.
