The Organisation for Responsible Business, ORB, is an independent organisation that supports and actively promotes socially and environmentally responsible businesses. It's not just about being 'green' - although that's obviously important - but also about helping businesses to forge closer social links within their neighbourhood.
The good news is, these social and environmental approaches are helping the profitability of member businesses as well and a national register of 'Responsible Businesses' is being compiled and promoted by the organisation.
No business can join ORB without satisfactorily completing an online Assessment Questionnaire - which really makes you think, I can tell you!
