I've just noticed the little yellow man at the top of the Google Maps zoom bar has burst into life when I'm looking at Luton...
This is very important, there are now highly interactive, detailed photos of every street in town! You can navigate the map, zoom in, search and so on, giving a very immediate look at every nook and cranny. If you take a look at the image below, you can see the Town Hall and the current Mall extension work, showing us the photos used are fairly recent.
Take a look at your own home address and business address too, as sometimes Google don't manage to blur out all the number plates and personal details - you can request changes to what is shown and even a complete removal.
My investigations into the town have now become a lot easier, there is a fair amount of sensationalism about privacy concerns brought by this service, but for me, I think this is really useful. Anyone have any comments on this?
