The Great Central Railway Beer Festival is back and bigger than ever. This year enjoy more than 50 guest ales and ciders specially selected from breweries in Great Central Railway territory, including:
Kelham Island (Sheffield), Acorn Brewery (Barnsley), Boggart Hole Clough (nr Manchester), Peerless (Birkenhead), Plassey (Wrexham), Nottingham Brewery, Castle Rock (Nottingham), Funfair (Ilkeston) - (an interloper from Great Northern territory!), Wicked Hathern (nr Loughborough), Tom Wood's (Grimsby, Dow Bridge (nr Lutterworth), Atomic (Rugby), Vale (Brill, Bucks) and Rebellion (Marlow, nr High Wycombe)
The festival begins at Loughborough Central station at 12pm each day
The full beer list will be available before the event on the Great Central Railway website, and in the festival programme.
The event also features:
- live music on Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening
- hot food on Friday evening and Saturday (all day).
- limited edition polo shirts
- special beer on train.
Admission is FREE to members of CAMRA and also Friends of the Great Central Main Line, or to ayone buying Great Central Railway travel tickets. Otherwise its just £3 (£1 after 8pm on Friday and Saturday).
Souvenir glasses cost £2. (You'll be charged for the glass on first entering the festival, refundable upon return).
