Some of Loughborough University's many sports experts have helped create an online tool aimed at inspiring people to exercise in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.

Researchers from the University's School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences helped design an NHS website that helps people find out which five sports best suit them. The site asks users questions and tests them to assess their sporting preferences and reactions. They are then guided to sport clubs and activities in their areas.

Sounds brilliant, let me have go now and see what sports I'm suited to (oh dear, hope it's not darts and crown green bowling)....

...well that was actually quite rigorous, I didn't expect the reaction tests. Took about 5 minutes to complete, a bit like a personality test. See results chart below.

Happily it says I'm suited to "board sports" like surfing and skateboarding - yay I'm cool finally at the age of 44! I'd better get out there and do some then!
