Matt was great!!! My 307HDi got a problem with engine fuel pipes and would not start. Called Matt and got the problem identified and fixed, fantastic job and in a very reasonable price. Matt's friendly and reliable with excellent communications, and helps keeping customer's cost to a minimum. Will definitely use his service again and would strongly recommend to anyone.

I can't fault the service. I was able to continue working without much interruption; I handed Matt the keys, quickly briefed him and left him to it. When completed, Matt demonstrated the effective repair, explained clearly what the problems were and was able to take card payment. I would have spent a lot longer on the alternative. I.e. travelling to and from a garage.

Just had a second visit from Matt, a follow up to an earlier diagnosis of a faulty alternator. Matt has just fitted a replacement alternator, which I supplied, on my Pajero - a tricky job owing to the position and complexity of the unit. Matt did the work in a totally prompt and efficient manner. He is one of the nicest people to meet and I thoroughly recommend him for any vehicle problems you might have.

I would reccomend Matt to anyone. He came round at short notice, ordered the parts and completed a full service very efficiently at a very reasonable price. He pointed out a few other bits that required attention and quoted a very reasonable price. I will be definately getting him to come and do the work shortly. 5* service!!

CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST. Looking for a honest, reliable, friendly, efficient, competent vehicle technician then look no further. I decided to service my daughters Ford KA last Saturday (never again). I changed the oil filter, oil and air filter. As I attempted to remove a spark plug that had become corroded within the cylinder head it snapped off. Knowing this would require work beyond my capabilities I looked up M.J.Fisher and called. Though not at work Matt answered my call and to cut a long story short during the next few days removed the cylinder head removed the remaining plugs that were also corroded in and fixed the car. At all times he kept me informed was pleasant extremely helpful and got the car back on the road as fast as he could and at a very reasonable price. This guy is brilliant.

Matt was recommended to me after having saved my Dad considerable amounts of money repairing his 3.0ltr Alfa GTV. Matt visited my home and organised both and MOT and full service for my Punto HGT. We called Matt to carry out a 30,000 mile service on our SSangyong - Had spoken to the SSangyong garage who were going to charge in the region of £600. Matt completed the service at our home in a couple of hours and saved us loads of money. His communication is excellent and if he has to fit an expensive part he will advise you before he does the work so no nasty surprises when the bill comes. After finding oil in my coolant I spoke to Matt. He came the same day and explained what the problem could be. He found that the oil cooler had failed and sorted everything out for me. Another garage said it was probably the head gasket so Matt may have saved me a needless head gasket repair bill. Since fixing it, the car is running great and I am very happy. Matt is a great, friendly guy and very good at his job. 100% recommended!

A1 service, no problems with coming back if anything goes wrong, very good on price and will call you back if he say he's going to.

I was looking for a mobile mechanic in the area and came across MJ Fisher through the Best of Loughborough website. I thought I needed new rear disks for my Mazda RX7, Matt sorted the problem out, no need for new disks and he saved me about £200!!! A really honest bloke and I would recomend him to anyone based on my first impressions. I will be using MJ Fisher again. Good luck to him.

Just like to say that i required new front discs and pads on my volvo 440 i had seen matt and asked him if he could do them for me.plus my hand brake lever needed adjusting matt told me yes he could do them for me told me how much,which my the way was very cheap for a mobile mechanic,Matt extremely polite and he as always got a smile on his face when i see him,i would like to thanks Matt and will be using you again for any work on my car. I was given Matt's number by my housemate who called him out boxing day to fix an electrical fault. What dedication! Matt always puts his best efforts into his work and was more than happy to give me free advice on my power steering pump when it was making funny noises. I asked Matt to do an oil and coolant change on my Impreza WRX which I had just imported. When checking the car, he was very honest (unlike some cowboys!) and said that if anything, all that needed to be done to the coolant was to water it down a bit, as it was running too rich. In the end he only charged me for the oil change. Not only a great mechanic, but a very nice person as well. One of Loughborough's finest citizens. A*

What can i say, i thought i'd never see the day when i met a genuine mechanic. Matt Fisher is a Brilliant Mechanic, he is honest and he is reliable. I know it sounds far fetch but its true. Fantastic service provided by Matt. I skidded on some ice and ended up in a ditch and within 15 minutes Matt was there with his trusted van to pull us out. Will definately use him again (hopefully not for a similar job!) Very professional, helpful and cheap ! Excellent combination.

Matt is a friendly chap and fixed my car quickly! I would recommend him to anyone. His communication pre-appointment was excellent and he proved himself to be reliable. His prices are also very reasonable. I will be using him again.

I required new front discs + pads, and rear shoes on my Picasso. To save some money, in these times of recession, I purchased the parts online with the intention of having them fitted at a local garage (support local businesses). However, the first garage refused to fit them (no money to be made from the parts) and the second wanted £187 + VAT. I did some internet searching and came up with 'The Best of Loughborough', where I found Matt. A phone call later and the work was booked to be done. When Matt arrived I found him to be smartly presented, polite and very professional in his approach. He carried out the work extremely competently and even advised me that the rear shoes did not require replacement. When it the time came to pay Matt reduced the bill by £10 as he did not have to carry out the rear brake work (even though he still cleaned & checked them). Matt is an excellent mechanic & a thoroughly nice bloke. USE HIM or LOSE HIM! He takes milk & 2 Sugars in his coffee , by the way.

Matt has just M.O.T and serviced my car. He did it quickly and at less than half the price a garage would charge. I asked him to renew my rear brake shoes he checked them, cleaned them etc but said there was no need for new shoes. How many garages do you know that would heve done that? Every one I had been to would have changed them and charged me for it. Matt is the most honest and reliable mechanic I know.

Matt did a great job with my car. He tried to keep cost to a minimum by only going to the most expensive option once the other; quick to find out and cheaper options had been eliminated. In my case a new clutch was the last resort but there was no extra charge for time spent trying the cheaper options. He was giving me feedback though all of this as he was either on the phone when I was out, or on my drive, so I could see problem for myself and spent time explaining the real root of the problem. He had an excellent work ethic and because of this would definitely use his services again. He was also about 25% cheaper than other quotes I got off other garages in the local area that I rang, but adding to that, you know the genuine problem and can see exactly what is being done to your car which gives you huge peace of mind.

I had a broken head gasket on my car and having rang around local garage services came across Matt. He was by far the most helpful on the phone explaining what would need to be done and the possible cost implications. His level of service form that initial phone call to the final hand shake was excellent. Doing the work on time, on budget and thoroughly professional. I will definately be using him again for any future work required as he made the stressful scenario of a broken car a lot more bearable. Many thanks Matt

Asked Matt to MOT my car while on holiday, contacted me by e-mail advising me car had failed, advised me on the price of repairing the vehicle so it would pass the MOT before he went ahead (very considerate). I e-mailed him back giving him the go-ahead & the car had its MOT & was ready for use by the time I returned. Fully satisfied with his approach to business & with the work that he carried out.
