OK I'm putting my girlie hat on here, or more specifically my "my-wife-has-a-degree-in-textile-design-so-I-appreciate-this-stuff-without-actually-being-a-girl-at-least-that's-my-excuse" hat. I like beer and football too, honest!
I spotted the website and blog of a local craftsperson at http://www.incywincystitches.com/ and thought it deserved a mention. The fabric buttons I think are exquisite, what a great way to make a piece of clothing unique without having to spend a fortune in a designer shop. Perfect for these recession-hit times I would think - take a decent high street item and replace bits of it with something else. Make something unique and support your local economy at
the same time!
I think a couple of my 4-year-old daughter's coats and cardigans will be getting a button-related makeover this winter. Now where does my wife keep the needles and thread...
