Late Knight Shopping and Torch Lit Parade
25th November 2013

This is one of our favourite events which helps everybody get into the real spirit of Christmas! Most of the shops and caterers stay open well into the evening. When it is good and dark our parade assembles at Castle Square and the torches are lit.

The parade is led by our Jester, Jack Pudding, followed by numerous armoured knights and their ladies carrying blazing torches. The parade proceeds around the town and returns to Castle Square. There will be a hog roast and other traditional attractions. Conwy is a really great little town if you wish to get something that bit different for someone special at Christmas.

There are a number of smaller shops selling just what you need for the holiday season. Yesteryears Toyshop, acknowledged to be one of the finest in Wales. Edwards of Conwy, a prize winning butcher, where could you buy better produce for your Christmas table? Stillwells Chocolate Shop for confectionery you won't find on every high street! Galleries for the discerning art lover, a top rate outdoor shop, a fine wine shop, a cook shop to delight the gourmet, and - well, I could go on and on!

There's even the Knight Shop should you require a new sword or suit of armour! In between shopping you might need refreshment, well there's plenty of tempting teashops and restaurants as well as interesting taverns.

Don't forget that Conwy has a world class castle and some of the finest town walls in Europe, there is always plenty to see so why not make a day of it?

If you want somewhere to stay, why not try Lymehurst Bed and Breakfast, a lovely little location to for both traders (secure car parking) and visitors alike.
