We had an excellent few days at the Hilary, made more enjoyable by the positive attitude of the owners who had a great sense of humour. The breakfasts were tremendous - a picture on a plate!
The directory in the room was first class as it gave information on everything you wanted to know, including the owners own recommendations on eating out.
Definitely a place to go back to!

The Hilary is a fantastic guest house with a warm and friendly atmosphere. I have stayed here on several occasions when visiting this part of Wales and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Colin and Deb have thought of everything you need for your stay especially the things you always forget to pack. The rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable.
The Hilary is within walking distance of all the local amenities and both beaches in Llandudno so once you arrive you don't need to drive anywhere else.
The breakfast is amazing!! I always recommend The Hilary to all my friends and family.

I found the Hilary guest house in Llandudno to be most accommodating and worthy of its rating. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and are very well equipped with all the comforts you would expect these days. I had really good nights sleep when I was there recently it being nice and quiet. Breakfast was superb as was the hosts attention to my needs. Proximity to all the resorts facilities is excellent being only a short stroll away.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

This is my second visit to an excellent guest house with a really friendly atmosphere. The facilities are great and it is in a perfect location for both Llandudno and the rest of Wales. Col and Deb made me feel like part of the family. I wouldnʼt stay anywhere else if I was visiting this part of Wales.

This is a truly great place to get away from it all and also HAVE it all. The Hilary Guest House is attractively decorated and superbly maintained with plenty of thoughtful amenities giving it a charming appeal. It is easy to reach and situated near beautiful beaches, great shopping, and a variety of restaurants and entertainment.

I arrived exhausted from traveling and found such a magnificent bed that a brief nap revived me. I awoke to the soothing sounds of the sea and birds, refreshed from a comfortable sleep and ready to begin my vacation without losing the first day to jetlag. I had everything I needed and more – even the light pull was strategically placed so that I could reach it easily. I enjoyed the beverage service and special treats while I explored the treasure trove of local information provided for me in my room. Then a short pleasant walk along quiet streets took me past lovely gardens into a town both quaint and thoroughly alive.

The Thompsons are key to the ambiance of The Hilary. They have a special talent for providing a warm welcoming atmosphere and those extra special touches that make a stay there exceptional. Colin asks how you would like your eggs for breakfast and they are served exactly as you requested yet somehow better. In addition, you can indulge yourself with a facial, manicure or pedicure provided by Deborah without leaving the comfort of your captivating temporary home.

I have stayed in dozens of guesthouses throughout Great Britain and The Hilary rates #1 with me. I now measure all others by that standard. So far, none has surpassed it. I’m anxious to return.
