There is a Guest Lounge on the ground floor to the front of the house. The lounge has a high ceiling and living flame fire giving the room a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. You are welcome to watch the wide screen plasma TV or why not just relax over a good book accompanied by a pot of tea or coffee.
All rooms throughout the guest house are fitted with detection alarms to comply with Fire Regulations. In the event of a power failure, emergency lighting is also fitted along emergency exit routes. Fire fighting equipment, Fire Alarm System and Emergency Lighting in the guesthouse are inspected on a regular basis.
They welcome cyclists and walkers and are available to offer advice on where to go and what to do.

From the warmest of welcomes and being greeted by cream cakes and coffee, to the spotlessly clean rooms, with mini fridge, bathrobes and beautifully-scented toiletries, you know that you have arrived at somewhere very special at Stoneleigh Guest House. Running a b and b ourselves, the standards we expect are high and we can only say that we take our hats off to you Anna, you certainly lead the way in how a b and b should be run! The choice at breakfast, you would find hard to beat in a top class hotel, always served with a smile by friendly staff, whom also help make Stoneleigh what it is. Stoneleigh has certainly raised the bar in seaside bed and breakfasts and our congratulations go out to one very special lady, who truly deserves all the praise she has on Tripadvisor. Stoneleigh is faultless!
We have to agree with all the other excellent reviews on STONELEIGH GUEST HOUSE, the warm welcome from Anna and George was a lovely surprise and the coffee and cake on arrival was a nice touch. We stayed 2 nights in Maple room and found the cleanliness to be of the highest order , including the en-suite. Also the room was very warm and we could turn the radiator down or off if we wished, which is a nice change from most b and bs and hotels, the linen and decor are also of the highest order and i am sure the other 3 rooms are of the same quality. The breakfast was also of the highest quality and we have no hesitation in recommending STONELEIGH . Thankyou to all the team at Stoneleigh for a very enjoyable stay
First an admission - I was a bit sceptical about all those 'excellent' reviews! Like many, I've travelled & stayed extensively around the UK for business & pleasure and have often been left disappointed by the reality of an establishment when compared against its website or online reviews. So with a slight sense of 'this place won't be as good as everyone says' I went ahead and booked a couple of nights for me, my wife and my elderly mother-in-law who is registered blind. I needn't have worried. From the moment we arrived Anna made us all very welcome and things started off with coffee, scones & strawberry jam. Can you imagine getting that in a hotel and it NOT appearing on your bill on departure! Next we were shown to our rooms and because of my mother-in-law's sight problems, Anna suggested that another room (bigger & more spacious) might actually be more appropriate. It was clear that nothing was too much trouble and that first class customer service was top of the Stoneleigh priority list. The rooms themselves were excellent - lovely & warm, really well furnished and with bathrobes, toiletries and fresh milk in the fridge. If I had to be picky (for the sake of objectivity) I'd say the en-suite in our room was a bit tight on space but, having said that, it was 'small but beautifully formed' and had everything we needed. Oh, and cleanliness is clearly another top priority - the rooms and bathrooms were spotless as were the resident's lounge and dining room. So, all in all a great place to stay. It's warm, comfortable and genuinely welcoming - a veritable 'home from home'. It's handy for the town centre and promenade with both only a 5 minute walk away, and parking is also available. Service is excellent without being intrusive, quality & cleanliness are top notch and I would suggest it's hard to beat. Book it and see for yourself.
This was our third stay at Stoneleigh and each time we are amazed by the real and genuine welcome by Anna. Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts provide a great start to the day with a good choice and all freshly prepared. We will now look forward to our next visit.
