I can honestly say that this is the best place I have stayed at in Llandudno. I have been holidaying at Llandudno since the year dot. Now, being an almost married man, I have introduced my fiancee to Llandudno and she loves it. I usually stay in places that are self-catering so I was a little apprehensive about staying in a guest house. I booked this place for a weekend in December ʼ07 for my fiancee and I. Upon arriving we were greeted by Mrs. Hastings who was very friendly. We were taken to our room and I can honestly say that I was taken aback by how lovely the place was. The room was gorgeous, extremely clean. Complimentary tea, coffee, Horlicks, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room too! The bathroom was fantastic, clean towels, Dove soap and shower gel, spotless. We were offered a full english breakfast for the next morning at 9am. It was great! Fresh orange, fresh filtered coffee, toast with jam, marmalade and butter on offer! Then comes the big, non-greasy, breakfast! It filled my fiancee and I right up! Just the kind of meal we need to give us the energy to walk up and down, all over, the Great Orme! Upon returning to our room that evening we found that everything had been replaced. The coffee, the biscuits, the tea, clean towels! First class service. We stayed for two nights in December. We went back again in May ʼ08, this time booking the ʼbigʼ room. This room was just as fantastic as the other, except bigger. It had a widescreen TV, freeview box, a settee, a coffee table, antique wardrobe and an antique dressing table with a huge mirror that my fiancee just loved. The bathroom sported a shower and a bath whereas the other room just had a shower. This didnʼt bother either of us as we both prefer a good powerful shower to a bath anyway. Let us not forget the excellent breakfast again! We have since been back again in Novʼ08, taking my fianceeʼs parents with us. They loved the place too and will be returning. For a weekend stay, or even a week, this is the place to be in Llandudno. You have the promenade just to the right of the building, the Tram a few yards on the left and the Great Orme directly in front of you! This place is a real gem and I salute Mrs. Hastings for running the place by herself, what an excellent job she does. My fiancee and I will be returning again soon. 11 out of 10!
