St Michael in the Hamlet Community Primary School is situatid just off Aigburth Road and St Michael Church Road in the L17 area of Liverpool.

The school educates children between the ages of 3 and 11 years. The school has nursery facilities and can offer a limited number of full time places. There are 2 classes in each year group and the school has high expectations of their pupils’ behaviour and potential.

The school has an excellent reputation in the community of L17 Liverpool and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement, sports, art, music and Information communication technology. Within the school our staff are very experienced in supporting pupils with extra needs to help each child to achieve their potential.

The school had Ofsted in November 2004 and they were very impressed with the activities going on in school and the progress the children made.

The school has recently gained Dyslexia Friendly Status and has been awarded the Liverpool Inclusion Charter Mark at advanced level, which celebrates the inclusive nature of our school. In May this year the school was also awarded the National Healthy Schools Award and staff are committed to promote a healthy lifestyle for the pupils in school.

The school has a parent’s council (Friends of St. Michael in the Hamlet) who fundraise for the school, help us with community links and with our communication. We recently have had a highly successful Summer Fayre which proved to be a popular activity for the whole community!

The school offers breakfast and after school clubs provided by ‘Kids Club Ltd.) The staff also offer a wide range of extra activities before and after school.
