February meeting:

Katy Shore-Kapsis, Chair of the Lichfield Waterworks Trust, describes the remarkable career of the engineer, philanthropist and politician, John Robinson McLean. He was the first person to be sole owner of a main line railway, and became famous for securing a fresh water supply to overcome persistent outbreaks of cholera in the Walsall/Lichfield area, taking no salary for his work.
