World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading and books that takes place on April 23rd.

Selected as a World Book Night Giver, The Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum in Lichfield is hosting a FREE event whereby they will give away specially selected titles by Ben Aaronovitch and Roald Dahl as part of the National scheme.

If you enjoy reading books, pop along to the museum from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and participate in a relaxing evening as you explore the house, take part in activities and browse the museum book shop sale where you will get the opportunity to sneak preview free titles before they are given away.

A glass of wine is offered to those who enjoy a tipple and aspiring writers will have the chance to meet local authors Carol E Wyer and Stewart Derry for tips and inspiration on a variety of styles from blogging through to poetry.

Regular visitors and newcomers to the museum are made very welcome to this exciting event.

For more details call 01543 264 972, visit www.samueljohnsonbirthplace.org.uk, email sjmuseum@lichfield.gov.uk or pop into the Museum on the corner of the Market Square.
