Looking for some great bargains this Christmas?

Black Friday (28th November) marks the start of the Christmas shopping season and is the day after American Thanksgiving.  Many high street and online stores throughout the UK take part offering great deals to consumers as they start their Christmas shopping.

Cyber Monday falls on the Monday (1st December) that immediately follows Black Friday but only offers online deals only.

If you prefer to shop from the comfort of your own home, Cyber Monday offers consumers unbeatable discounts, incentives, savings options, and free shipping.

You do have to take care when shopping online and the best advice we can offer for shopping on Cyber Monday is:

  • Make your list (and check it twice) - this will minimise your confusion if you have multiple purchases;
  • Keep a file of purchase confirmations, this will help with returns, exchanges and verifying bank statements;
  • Only shop with retailers you can trust;
  • Ensure the site you purchase from has privacy and security seals;
  • Shop at sites that offer FREE shipping
  • Before you place an order, use a price comparison website (e.g. Kelkoo) to make sure you're getting the best deal.
  • Get to know your retailers return and exchange policies
  • Read the fine print, warranty information etc.
  • Double check your purchase before you submit it to the retailer.

If you haven't started your Christmas shopping yet, grab yourself a bargain on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
