The award-winning arts venue and charity has added over twenty new shows to their current line-up, including high quality dramas, roof-raising bands, and fun for all the family.

Famous faces such as Strictly Come Dancing alumni Vincent Simone, hilarious comedians Henning Wehn and Rich Hall, and critically acclaimed writer Phillipa Gregory are just some of the incredible names gracing the Garrick stage this season. From Ramsay Street, everyone’s favourite TV soap doctor, Dr Karl Kennedy, will pop in for An Evening with Alan Fletcher this month, then Drag Race UK fans will be ‘kept hangin’ on’ with Ginny Lemon & Sister Sister, coming to the theatre in spring 2023.

Music lovers will be tapping their toes and clapping their hands at the incredible selection of musicians, including the world-renowned Welsh Musical Theatre Orchestra, BBC Radio 2 jazz sensation Clare Teal, and a whole host of former Josephs in Dreamcoat Stars

Some of the finest tribute artistes in the country hit the Garrick stage this season too. You’ll find ‘Somebody to Love’ in Mercury, and you’ll be singing your hearts out to ELO AgainThe George Michael Legacy, and Totally Tina, to name a few! For those looking for some gritty dramas, check out Blackeyed Theatre’s Sherlock Holmes – The Valley of Fear, Middle Ground Theatre’s powerful courtroom thriller, The Verdict, and the star-studded 70th anniversary tour of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. And if you’re looking for an adult’s only night out, Forbidden Nights promises to be an ‘abs-olutely’ fantastic evening!

It’s almost Pantomime season again – oh yes, it is! – and we have Lichfield legend Sam Rabone back in a frock for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! We’re also pleased to be welcoming back fan favourites Maria Conneely and George Akid, who eagle-eyed theatregoers will recognise from our previous pantomimes. Plus, we’re pleased to announce the first two of our dwarfs - Brian Wheeler (Star Wars) as Brian, and Dean Whatton (Game of Thrones) as Sarge. Further cast announcements are coming soon!

For younger family audiences, there’s The Ugly Duckling & Other Storiesa fun and festive interactive show perfect for little ones. For the full Christmas experience, you can also visit Santa in our cinema for a screening of one of two Christmas classics, followed by an interactive performance from Jolly Old St. Nick himself.

For adults and older kids, why not try out the festive debut from writer Carolyn Scott-Jeffs, a comedy based on four Christmas hating friends, The Bah Humbug Club? Over the course of twenty-three Yuletides, these incompatible Christmasphobics must consider the possibility that all they want for Christmas is each other.

There are plenty of ways you can get involved in supporting the Lichfield Garrick Arts Charity. You can become a part of their Membership scheme that allows you to contribute to the theatre you love while also receiving some great benefits, or you can visit their website to check out plenty of other ways to get involved.

Physical copies of the new brochure are available for collection from the box office, and there’s also an interactive pageturner here.

New season shows will be on sale to the general public from Friday 9th September (with many shows in the brochure already on sale) – you can book over the phone on 01543 412121 or in person at Box Office (please see our website for our current opening times) or online via the website.
