Starting August 2, specialists from Richard Winterton Auctioneers will be at the library at Sankeys Corner, Bridge Cross Road, on Tuesdays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, expertly equipped to examine jewellery, watches, gold and silver.

“Discovering hidden treasure is the essence of what we’re about and we’re delighted to bring this new free evaluation service to Burntwood,” said Mr Winterton, who appears regularly as an auctioneer on television programmes including Bargain Hunt and Dickinson’s Real Deal.

“As demonstrated by our recent summer Fine Art Sale, collectors all over the world keep their fingers on the pulse and can easily join our auctions online.

“With a new programme of weekly sales taking us into the autumn and beyond, it’s a great time to drop in to see us and make the most of a buoyant auction market.”

The family firm is an associate member of The National Association of Jewellers and the jewellery department features certified gemmologists and diamond graders.

The new Burntwood Library sessions add to the company’s existing pop-up valuations at The Hub at St Mary’s in Lichfield city centre from 9.30am to 11am on Tuesdays and at The Trinity Centre in Sutton Coldfield on Mondays from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Jewellery and watch valuations are also available at Richard Winterton Auctioneers’ Tamworth office in Church Street on Wednesdays from 9.30am to 4pm and by appointment at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Fradley Park, from 9.30am to 4pm on Thursdays – call 01543 406124 or email office@richardwinterton.co.uk.
