First time user of this facility which provides out of hours cover for our local vet. Our cat had been knocked down and we took him to be checked out. We saw a lovely young guy - apologies I didn't get his name but the care and attention he took was brilliant - examined the cat so tenderly and diagnosed a pelvic injury. He also made sure he could express urine which is a major concern. He gave him painkillers and we followed up with our vet with x-rays which again very fortunately showed no fracture. All I can say is they did a good job for us and while there we saw far worse cases which clearly took priority. Would certainly use again but really hope we don't have too!

Unfortunately i've just had to have my cat put to sleep. Jenny the vet was very sympathetic. She explained everything thoroughly to us about the procedure and left us with Ebony so we could say goodbye. It was a quick and peaceful end.

I’ve used Pool House for the last 15/16 years for my dog, Bruno, who sadly went to sleep on Friday last week.
Pool House are by far the most amazing, caring and compassionate vets around - I’d never go anywhere else. I’ve always had a huge amount of trust in the team and the advice they gave - and I’ve always felt that I was being given an honest opinion on what to do in any scenario, as if Bruno were their dog. Thank you for everything you’ve done in helping my clumsy, accident prone, soft old German Shepherd cross get to the amazing age he did.

I would like to highly commend the out of hours emergency team working the evening of Friday 4th August following my beloved dogs passing at home.

We would like to thank each and everyone past and present at Poolhouse Vets. For the care over the years they gave to our much loved Staffordshire bull terrier Layla, who sadly passed away in April 2023 age 11 and a half years old . The Vets, Nurses, Receptionists and Admin.who were always there to help.We cannot thank them enough The support they gave us when we found out How ill Layla was.we will never forget these wonderful people. I take my dog here. He always receives excellent care. He mainly sees Jenny England. He is a very stressy rescue boy. But Jenny is always very patient and understanding with him. Also informative and honest about any treatment he needs. He has recently been for dental surgery and received fabulous care. I have used this practice for many years and will continue to do so. I would highly recommend them.

This was used by us in an emergency. We were seen promptly and the vet was extremely thorough, taking her time to do all sorts of tests. Sent appropriate notes to our regular vet for further treatment. Excellent and friendly service.

Was trying to get in touch with some local rescue centres for aid with a sick hedgehog, all of them let me down, and I turned to here. I'm very glad I did. The friendly reception staff were sympathetic, took some brief details of what was happening and said they were getting a nurse prepared right away. The friendly and helpful staff and near immediate response time really helped calm my nerves
