Great food and good conversation. Anthony is a great man for chatting with his customers, so its not somewhere to go if you are in a hurry, I like that he makes the effort to have a real conversation, not just nice weather for the time of year. heʼs genuinely interested in what heʼs selling. He has interesting cakes and snacks, and his veggie bakes of various different kinds are excellent. If heʼs tried a new recipe he tends to give you tasters (unless itʼs just meʽ!) and he has a small but diverse collection of cheeses.

This local delicatesse sells a huge range of ever-changing delicacies and organic foodstuffs. The owner always has home-made food to take away for your lunch or dinner and heʼs always happy to get things in if he doesnʼt stock something. Heʼll also let you try some things first - cheese, etc. - before you buy it. Honor Oak really needs a foodieʼs shop like this as otherwise we Honor Oakers have to go to Blackheath or East Dulwich, which are both a drive or bus ride away. Finally, he sells excellent organic and non-organic cakes and breads, as well as fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. I highly recommend it.
