The Bull Inn, Newick Lewes is a public house steeped in history.
Dating from 1510, the Inn originally provided a resting point for Pilgrims half way through their journey between Winchester and Canterbury.
Lovingly restored the Inn has low ceilings and wonderful beams and offers fantastic dining in the beamed restaurant, bar food, accommodation as well as a large beer garden.
The restaurant adjoining the bar is situated in what was originally the old milking parlour and the Coaching Barn has been converted into "The Pilgrims Rest" providing luxurious accommodation with 8 double en suite rooms.
All rooms are themed with different Chaucer Tales.
The setting is unique for any Inn / public house providing comfort and charm.
The bar is a thriving, vibrant place for locals and visitors alike, with a fine selection of real ales. Quiz nights, Murder/ Mystery/ Scrabble evenings are held regularly.
In the summer we have a lovely beer garden & Terrace overlooking the green.
In the winter, the open log fire provides a lovely warmth and atmosphere.

Our ancient oak-beamed restaurant is open everyday for lunch and dinner.
We offer the full range from simple pub snacks in the bar for example-Italian Meat Platters, Classic Chilli Con Carne and the renowned Bull Inn Beef Burger, through to full A La Carte with dishes such as Pan Roasted Fillet of Beef , Braised Lamb Shanks, Confit of Duck as well as many mouth watering specials of the day.
The restaurant seats over 50 guests so whether you would like an intimate dinner for two or need catering for a Private Party, Wedding or business function, we would be glad to help.
